Obituary of Edward F. O'Donnell

Edward F. O'Donnell, 87, of Freehold, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born in Oyster Bay, NY, Edward has lived in Freehold most of his life. He proudly served in the US Navy on the USS Columbus during WWII. Retiring in 1988, Edward worked for Brockway Glass, Freehold, in the production department and was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Freehold. Edward was predeceased by his parents, William and Pauline O'Donnell; his brother, William F.; his sister, Cyrilla F. De Rosa; his great-granddaughter, Makayla, and his son-in-law Wayne Schwarz. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marilyn; his daughter, Nancy Schwarz of Englishtown; his son and daughter-in-law, Edward Jr and Barbara O'Donnell of Manchester; his three grandchildren and their spouses, Brenda and Vincent DeSantis of Brick, Edward III and Stacy O'Donnell of Brick, and Kristine O'Donnell of Freehold; and his two great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Reilly O'Donnell. Family and friends are invited to visit Freeman Funeral Home, 47 E Main St, Freehold, on Saturday, November 29, from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM.
