Lovingly known as Aunt Flossy, I am honored to be her nephew in-law. She was one of the most generous people I know, and always made me feel important with every conversation. Rest In Peace Aunt Floss, we will miss you until we meet again.

Forever blessed to have her as my aunt. She was a light in all of our lives and a true inspiration to all who knew her. Truly an exceptional human being. Aunt Phyllis gave everyone the gift of time - making everyone feel special and that they mattered to her deeply.
- with love always and so grateful for your kindness throughout my life

On behalf of the Society of Air Force Nurses, please know that we are mourning with you the death of our friend and colleague, retired Colonel Phyllis "Phyll" Lutmann. She was a remarkable woman and leader who made such a difference in this world in her own journey through life; she leaves an exraordinary list of accomlishments. I was privileged to have served with Phyll at David Grant Medical Center in California, and then followed her to the University of California - San Francisco where we both received our Masters of Science in Nursing. I have many fond memories of those years. She was a long-time member of the Society, and a donation in her memoryand honor will be made to the Foundation for Military Women's Memorial which stands at the entrance to Arlington National Cemetery. Phyll will be missed by many, and she will long be remembered by the community of Air Force nurses.
Linda J. Stierle, Brigadier General, United States Air Force (Retired)

My condolences to Col. Luttman's family on your loss. I did not know her but we were both stationed at Keesler Medical Center in the same time period. We also were both members of the Biloxi Yacht Club on whose website I saw the notice of her passing.. I am impressed and full of respect for all of her accomplishments. Rest in Peace Col. Luttman.
