Obituary of Peter Joseph Tar Sr.
Peter Joseph Tar Sr., 59, of Morganville, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at home. Peter was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and resided in Morganville for many years. Peter had a strong work ethic. He worked for Airmatic Compressor for 16 years and was loved and respected by all he worked with. When Peter was home, work was left and he was all about his family. He would come home and revert into Dad mode-fixing things. If Dad couldn’t’ fix it, no one could. Peter has a crazy goofy sense of humor and was always the jokester.
Growing up all Peter’s free time in the winters he skied at Belleayre. When he became a father, he gave up his weekends to volunteer at Belleayre so that his kids could enjoy skiing and snowboarding as he did, and taught all their friends how to ski.
He took care of others with fairness, kindness and love. He put everyone before himself, a selfless man who brought light into any situation.
His grandson, Charlie was the light of his life. Charlie will be three in April, and he loved his PaPa. Charlie loved to take naps on his PaPa on Sunday afternoon, ride on the lawn tractor, and play trucks or whatever it was that his grandson wanted to do,
Peter is survived by his parents Mary and Karoly; wife Ellen; son Peter Jr., son Ryan and his wife Caitlyn and daughter Amanda; brothers Tommy and his wife Lisa; Zoltan and his wife Maria and grandson Charlie.
