Wayne, as well as Nancy and Charlie, was the best neighbor one could ever ask for! We had one of the big snowstorms years ago. Tim was called in for overtime in the firehouse, he said yes. We went out to clean off his car and to his shock there was a ton of snow out there. He called back the firehouse and told them he was snowed in and would not be able to make it. They said you're all we got, get here when you get here. So out we went, no snow blower and his lawnmower/plow was not helping. Well, all of a sudden we see Wayne coming from across the way driving in his red snowblower!!! I could not believe it he just drove over and started clearing our driveway! That's the type of guy Wayne was, always willing to help a friend out.
We would go on vacation and again to our surprise our lawn was mowed when we got home. He was a great friend, who will be missed by the Lavin's. When we first moved here, I was pregnant with my first. The kids loved him too. Now with a 12 year old and 10 year twins, they will miss him a lot. He watched them grow.
