Obituary of Nancy Elizabeth Daley

Nancy Ryan Daley, 84, passed away on Sunday, December 27th at Preferred Care, Wall Township.  She was born, raised and spent most of her life in Freehold.  Nancy attended St. Rose of Lima Grammar School and Freehold High School, graduating there in 1955.  She was a cheerleading captain while attending Freehold High School. 
      After high school, she attended nursing school, where she earned her LPN certification.  Nancy worked at Perth Amboy Hospital.  She finished her nursing career working with Dr. Samuel Barr, Englishtown.  She also worked at the Freehold Public (Carnegie) Library for over 24 years retiring in 2008. 
     The most important thing in her life was her family, especially her children.  She was a loving and devoted mother.  Nancy was always willing to help her family without judgement.  She also had some very dear friends whom she enjoyed yearly vacations with for a number of years.  Thank you, Janet Stroupe and Pat Cahill for always being such good friends!  Especially Rosemary Briggs, we miss you very much! 
     Nancy is predeceased by her parents, James and Lauretta Ryan, her husband, Paul V. Daley Sr., Brother Robert Ryan and his wife Judy and her sister Mary Eleen Jackson and her husband Jimmy.  Left to mourn her passing are her children and their spouses: Paul and Roseanne Daley, Pegeen and Billy Anderson, Timothy Ryan and Kim Daley; grandson, Thomas Ryan Daley; two step grandchildren, Drew Anderson and Ashley Murphy and her spouse Allison; her sister, Susan Conover and husband Alan; sister-in-law, Jackie Tabascko and many nieces and nephews.
       Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, December 30th from 10-11 AM, at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold.  Her Funeral Liturgy will follow at 11:30 at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold.  Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, cancer.org.
