Obituary of Lorraine Blanche Post

Lorraine Blanche Dufford Post, 101, of Freehold Borough, passed away  Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Pinebrook Care Center in Manalapan.  She was born in South Amboy, NJ and was a graduate of Harold G. Hoffman High School and Drake Business College in Perth Amboy.  Lorraine was employed as a secretary with PSE&G in Newark and was a past member of the Cecelian Music Club of Freehold; a member of the former Women’s Club of Freehold having served as acting president (1993-1994), recording corresponding secretary, Music and Drama Chairwoman and member of the Trustees.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Freehold, serving as a Sunday School Teacher, Choir member, and member of Circle 1.  Her interest in music was always a big part of her life.

She was predeceased by her husband, Judson Post in 2004; her son, George Christie Post; parents, Christie and Ethel Van Camp Dufford; her brother, Carleton; two sisters, Dorthea D. Klein and Avis D. Budrow.

She is survived by her son, Gregory Judson Post; granddaughters, Melissa and Jennifer Post; grandsons, Keith and Douglas Post; five great-grandchildren and many caring nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be on Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 2:00 – 4:00pm at the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold, NJ  07728.  A graveside service will be on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 11:00am at The New Cemetery of Somerville.  In keeping with CDC guidelines, masks and social distancing are required.  To find directions, or leave a message of condolence, please visit our website at www.freemanfuneralhomes.com.
