My sincerest sympathies to all of Lois's family. She was a kind generous person that will be greatly missed. Every person that entered her home felt welcomed and valued. Her sense of humor was known to all but above everything she loved her family. With the passage of time we hope you heal and find peace.

Billy, I’m very sorry for your loss. I remember your sweet mom from the days when you, Gary, and I would hangout and play ball at your house on Conover Street. I’ll never forget her. Joe Dey

First and foremost, my Aunt Lo was a caregiver. A Christian. As far back as I can remember, she was looking after people and giving generously of her time. Even with a newborn and a toddler, she helped her elderly neighbor, Mrs. White who was nearly blind. Her mother, her brother Henry and her sister-in-law, Katie Scanlon all passed away in the family room of her house on Brickyard Road. She drove her friends in need to stores, for groceries, to hairdressers and doctor appointments. Her life was not always easy, but her resilience was remarkable.
She loved all animals and took in many cats and dogs over the years and even a rabbit. She spent hours watching the birds that visited her many baths and houses that were always well stocked with different feeds from Dill's where she was a loyal customer. She tended beautiful perennial gardens in her big backyard and was good with difficult to maintain plants. She was always very busy, got out everyday and was never content to just sit around. She drove until she recently fell ill and remained her SHARP self right up until she passed.
She was an active congregant of the Methodist Church in Freehold. She was my Kindergarten Sunday School teacher back when the class was held in what is now the Office. She really enjoyed heading up the women's group, the Phoebe Circle and cementing those loving friendships.
She was my best friend from when I was born and always had my back. Nothing got by her and I benefited from her advice that was always given without judgment. We spent a lot of time together, I loved her dearly and will miss her terribly.
Rest in peace, Aunt Lo,
Lulu
