This was during one of our hangouts in NJ. When I went to hangout in Jersey for the first time and was feeling anxious about being in unfamiliar surroundings, Ashley approached me and almost immediately made me feel completely at ease. After talking to her for ten minutes, I felt like I was talking to someone I’d known since childhood. Ashley was so fun and vibrant whenever we went out, and she exhibited such warmth that you really couldn’t help but gravitate towards her when she was around. She went out of her way to make sure you felt welcomed and loved, and I will always remember the joy she brought with her wherever we went. I am so fortunate and honored have had Ashley in my life. Thank you Ashley for all the love and warmth you gave, for all the laughs we had, and for all the long conversations you engaged in with me no matter how ludicrous the topic. Thank you for welcoming me into your circle and for making it feel like any space with you in it was a safe space. You will be dearly missed.

Ashley, I will forever cherish our times together in high school - laughing by our lockers, goofing off at JC public library, and you reminding me not to take myself so seriously. You were funny, unapologetically yourself, and brilliant beyond measure. To the Bono family and Travis - I am so sorry for your loss.

From the day I met Ashley, she left such an impression on me. Me being so young and naive, she was one of the first people who made me feel comfortable being me. Whether it was us just riffing off of some crazy scenario I came up with or a really messed up joke, Ashley didn't judge you for it. I wish I could have told her that being that way with me helped shaped me into the man I am today. Ashley was brilliant, loving and had a such an eye for art. I miss her very much, and I wish I could have spent more time with her. We cheat ourselves sometimes because we never think the worst can happen. May she rest in peace.

Living far away from our families, my husband and I were always welcomed in by the Bono’s for holidays, where Ashley was always such a light in the room, full of sass and humor. She will be missed. Thanksgiving 2017

I met Ashley through her aunt and her mom, we had a lovely dinner, I remember her make up was perfect, and she was so funny and laughed so hard we all did, Our thoughts go out to the family, She is in no more pain, Love, Todd&Andrea Bailey

I wanted to find an old picture of her looking radiant, in one of her elaborate costumes or with perfect makeup, but I just kept coming back to how good her hugs felt. Ashley was brilliant, blindingly brilliant, a ball of fire that warmed or burned everything around her. She had the most Jersey laugh and the best sense of humor and zero shame or sense that she had to temper who she was to conform to anything. She was an amazing cook and made me feel so dumb when she talked about fine art. I love her so much. I can't believe she's gone.
