Obituary of Christopher Merola

Christopher Merola, 58, of Marlboro passed away on Friday, October 23 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune.  He was born in Brooklyn and worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for Local 32B in New York City.   He was an avid Bowler and he loved animals especially his dog Shadow.  Christopher was a proud member of Local 32B.

He was predeceased by his parents Anna and Vincent Merola and is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Vincent and Ginny Merola of Jackson, NJ; his sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Pete Matlak of Staten Island, NY; and his sister, Dolores Merola of Marlboro, NJ.

Chris was a proud uncle to Meredith and Vinny Cardinale, Peter and Allison Matlak, Matthew and Rosanne Merola, Nicholas and Valerie Matlak and Jonathan and Jessica Matlak.  He was also a great uncle to Gerard, Alexa, Jeremy, Olivia, Giovanni, Jacob and Santino.

A visitation will be Tuesday, October 27, 2020 from 5:00 – 9:00pm at the Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan, NJ 07726.  A funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday, October 28, 10:00am at the Co-Cathedral St. Robert Bellarmine in Freehold Twp.  Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Freehold Twp.  To leave a message of condolence or find directions, please visit our website at www.freemanfuneralhomes.com.
