Obituary of JoAnn S. DeAngelis

JoAnn S. DeAngelis, 72, of Manalapan, died on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born in the Bronx, NY she has resided in Manalapan for the past 34 years. Before retiring JoAnn was an office manager for Dr. Peter Schottlander and prior to that, she managed the Carvel Ice Cream store in Marlboro for five years during the 1980's. She had a love for her family, cooking and making crafts. JoAnn was predeceased by her husband of 19 years, Lewis in 1984 and her son, Christopher in 1995. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Lewis and Kristine of Branchburg and Michael and Lori of Manalapan; her daughter, Lauren of Vineland; and 8 grandchildren, Daniel, Justin, Tyler, Michael, Lewis, Amanda, Andrew, and Matthew. Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, October 28th from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan. Interment will follow at Forest Green Park Cemetery, Marlboro.
