Obituary of Helen Joan Nelson

Helen J. Nelson, 87, of Manalapan, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born in Brooklyn, she lived on Staten Island before moving to Manalpan 34 yers ago. She was a communicant of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Manalapan. Helen was a secretary at Merck & Company in Manhattan for many years before retiring. She was predeceased by her husband, John F. Nelson Sr., in 1984.. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John Jr. and Joyce Nelson of Manalapan; two granddaughters, Tara Nelson and Marisa Policastro; and three great grandchildren, Christian, Madilyn and John. Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, August 1st, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan.
