Obituary of Carl Oswald Padovano

Please share a memory of Carl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Cherished and beloved son, brother, grandson, godson, nephew, brother-in-law and uncle.

Carl Oswald Padovano passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020.

A shining light has been lost in the lives of those who knew and loved Carl, even if for a short while.

Carl's warm smile, infectious laugh and heart of gold made others feel good and free to be themselves around him. He loved you for who you were and always wished the best without asking anything in return.

With his love of travel and strong family connections, Carl embarked on a cross country trip enabling him to visit many extended relatives and friends along the way. Carl also touched the lives of those he met while spending a semester abroad in India, living in Flagstaff, AZ and Philadelphia, PA, and especially his most treasured friends growing up in Mahwah, NJ.

Although an avid cook at home and for his tugboat mates, Carl chose welding as his profession. He used his strong hands and patience to mold metal into useful and beautiful things. Most of all, he used his strong sense of family and love to enhance others’ lives.

Carl will be missed every day by his mom Linda, her fiancé Brian, his sisters Jaclyn and Kaylin and their spouses, Justin and Kenny and his sweet niece Norma. His beloved grandparents Lillian and Richard Oswald.  His precious aunts (Laura, Nina, Ginny, Trisha, Kathy), uncles, cousins and second cousins. His partner Samantha, countless friends and his loyal dog, Houston. He loved them all dearly.

In heaven, with open arms, Carl is now with his loving dad, Carl E. Padovano, Jr., grandpa “Buddy” and grandma “Kay” Padovano.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Carl’s name to: Philabundance at  https://www.philabundance.org which assists those in need affected by Covid19.

A private celebration of Carlo’s life will be held at a future date when we can be together, safely.
