Obituary of Josephine Morrison
Josephine, affectionately known as “Jo” and “Josie”, Morrison, 92, of Freehold, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Friday, April 17th, 2020 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.
The daughter of late Giuseppe and Rosina Albino, Josephine was born on February 25, 1928 in Harlem, New York “right behind the Apollo Theater” she would proudly say.
She married the love of her life, William Morrison, in 1954. They started their beautiful life together in New York City where Josephine worked for Good Housekeeping and made some of her dearest life-long friends.
She moved to Fort Lee, New Jersey where she raised her family and cultivated her cooking skills before settling down in Freehold over 20 years ago.
Josephine lived her life bringing an endless amount of love and joy to all around her and will live forever in the hearts of those who knew her. Josephine is predeceased by her husband of 49 years, William, her sisters Elvira Albino, Frances Albino and Maria Albino and her daughter, Valerie Morrison. She is survived by her daughter, Claudia and her grandchildren, Elizabeth, John and Brittany.
In the best interest of all at this time, a celebration of Josephine’s life will be held at a later date.
Burial will be at the St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Josephine’s name may be made to www.njprf.org.
