I couldn’t ask for a better grandma, you were such a beautiful person with the kindest heart. Sunday dinners and holidays won’t be the same without. The only comfort is that you are finally reunited with Grandpa Al and will be watching down from heaven on us all.

What can I say about my mom? Mom was always there for me — unconditionally. I learned many things from her. She taught me through her actions, her words and her sincerity. She was compassionate, caring, selfless, kind, faithful and forgiving. My mom’s love for my sisters and me was never ending.
Mom loved her many grandchildren and her first great grandson too. It was her hope, and ours, that she’d live to see the birth of her first great granddaughter in this upcoming June. I’m certain she will spiritually walk alongside Molly’s daughter and hold her little hand.
Mom endured a lot of pain these past few months. I hope she is now in a place of comfort with my dad and her family. The memory of my mom will stay with me forever. She has left an indelible mark on me. For that I am forever grateful.

I love you grandma and you will be greatly missed.
Lucas called you super nanny because every time the odds were against you some how pulled through! Your are finally resting now and with grandpa. I will always cherish the fact that Lucas got to know you and will remember you. Our Sunday dinners will never be the same without you !

When we were children, my mom shared her memories of many family members, usually around the dinner table. In addition to teaching us about our family, some of whom had passed on, mom taught us to love and cherish each other and to have compassion and appreciation for others. I always loved hearing these stories. They are some of my fondest childhood memories.

I know Rita (my God Mother) will be truly missed by all but just image the joyous reception she will receive by everyone that sat around that BIG dining room table upstairs on 63 street (Uncle Steve, Aunt Phil, Al, Uncle Sal, Aunt Ray, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle George and Aunt Anna) awaiting her to complete that wonderful group for a delicious meal (cooked by Aunt Phil) a good laugh or visitor that always came by, maybe even a game of bingo they used to have for us kids. I know what I would give to have just five more minutes of that experience again with all of them, I’m sure you all would too.

One of the best memories of my mom Rita is of her singing the Ave Maria and O Holy Night on Christmas Eve while I accompanied her on the piano. She had the voice of an angel. I cherish those moments.
