Dearest Jonathan and the entire Grom Family, We are so saddened to hear about your Mom's passing. She was truly a strong-spirited matriarch, and her long lineage proves that. Only warm memories of her...always smiling and welcoming us to your home especially when we first moved to Freehold...and all your family gatherings and countless backyard BBQs. Lola, I know you are heaven with our sweet Jesus and in the company of those who went before you, before the Lord’s Glory worshipping in Spirit and in Truth and there is no other place that compares to that joy, but we miss you over on this side so much. So sad that we were not able to bid you farewell on your way Home. Now you have a glorified body free of sickness, sin and pain - for that I am overjoyed. I will miss our long conversations about everything - history, politics, religion and relationships. I learned so much from you about the Philippines and WWII - things you can’t find I the History books. Although we did not agree in our politics, I had no less respect for your views. You were an amazing role model to your children and grandchildren. I am so grateful that I had the privilege to know you. Thank you for welcoming me to the family with open doors and heart. Thank you for raising a tough, loyal and loving son, David - who is more like you than he likes to admit! Thank you for encouraging our relationship with each other and our Faith. David’s strong work ethic, sense of justice and morals, is a gift from you and your husband that has carried him through this life. Your sense of humor, your passion for life, your love of learning and your spiritual convictions will be the things I remember the most. Rest In Peace. Sumalangit nawa.

She loved camp spofford. Do you know any other 90 year old shredding it on a jet ski? Kids loved playing scrabble with her too.

Where to begin.I love you so much mother.You welcomed me into your family when I was only 18.You loved me as if I was your own daughter.I loved hearing all the stories you shared with me and I will treasure them all.The thing that hurts besides the obvious is that we cant celebrate what you meant to us.I want to be able to hug and share those wonderful stories but I guess that will just have to wait till down the road I just hope I can do them justice cause the faces you would make would be a big part in telling them with your famous line"Oh come on".Until we meet again.Love you to the moon and back and heaven got another great one
