Obituary of Barbara Vasile

Barbara Vasile, 83, of Manalapan, NJ passed away, Monday, March 9, 2020, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was born on May 25, 1936, in New York, New York to Joseph and Barbara Franchina. She graduated from high school in 1954.  On September 4, 1954, she married her late husband Charles Vasile.  Charles and Barbara remained in Brooklyn with their son and two daughters until they moved to Manalapan, NJ in 1965.  She worked in the beauty industry at Macy’s for many years.  During her free time, Barbara loved to read, watch her true crime shows and spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by son Charles, daughters Barbara Ann and Cathy as well as their husbands Tino and Wayne, granddaughters Nicole, Danielle and her husband Chris, and Marianela, great-grandsons Caden and Cole, nieces and nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan from 9:00-10:00am.  Funeral services will follow at St. Thomas More Church in Manalapan, NJ at 10:30am. To leave a condolence or find directions, visit www.freemanfuneralhomes.com.
