Mrs. Cerrato was my 2nd grade teacher. Long time ago. I loved her humor. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I used to play with Chris. We climbed the tree in his backyard. Good memories.

Mrs Cerrato was my favorite teacher! I have such wonderful memories of her in the second grade at Park Avenue School. Then I saw her in the grocery store years later and she remembered me! My deepest condolences to the family. Sherelle Hill Ramey Beckham.

Dear John, Marissa & Christopher, Mary was a wonderful neighbor & always was interested in what was going on in your life. When I came over to babysit a few times on Brinkerhoff, she had set up your rec room like a banquet & told me to help myself. Whenever I saw her in Shop-Rite she would take the time to ask about my family & advised me to work as long as I can. She would always tell me how wonderful I looked & if I had found anyone. She said you don't want to be alone & she just wanted everyone to have what she had shared with Dominick. Your Mother is now with her true love & my heartfelt wishes go out to her three children, their spouses & her 5 granddaughters. Mary had come full circle by returning to Brinkerhoff & now she has completed her full circle by joining her prince. Lovingly, Liz Hoagland (Chehanske)

Mary was a very special friend to us. We loved her dearly and missed seeing very often as she battled cancer. What a fighter she was! And she lived up to her deceased husbands orders,"March On." We will miss her. One never wondered what Mary thought of anyone or anything; she was right up front. We will miss her candor and her friendship. Our hearts go out to the family-they have lost a super mom and grandmother. We love you, Mary..

Mary was one of those special people that you meet as you travel through life. She was always nice, funny, helpful, prayerful, caring, generous, just a beautiful person. The last few years were tough on her because of the illness that she had to deal with, but we never heard her complain once. She was amazing and we will never ever forget her. My daughters Ellen and Michele and I send our deepest condolences to the Cerrato family. Mary was a tough but fair teacher to my daughters in grade school. Her husband, Dominic was a classmate of my husband, Larry Goldfarb. May she now rest in peace and her family remember her with love.

I have known Mary almost all of my life. Her mother and I would meet in Shop-Rite almost every Sunday. We never would stay out of touch, no matter how long. I never had her as a teacher however I know many people who did and she was excellent. She loved moving back to the Boro, especially to Brinckerhoff Ave. She was super and will be missed.
