Obituary of Doris Sanchez

Doris Sanchez, 72, of Freehold, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.  Born in Manhattan, Doris grew up in Puerto Rico, and has lived in Freehold for 35 years.  Doris loved to read, go out to eat and to the movies with her husband, Carlos. She treasured any time spent with her grandchildren. She loved lighthouses, and had a growing collection of lighthouse figurines! Her favorite road trip destination was to the town of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

She was predeceased by her parents, Andres and Maximina.  She is survived by her husband, Carlos; her sister and brother in law, Gladys and Samuel Acevedo; her son, Carlos, and his fiancé, Xiomara Babilonia; daughter Maritsa, and son in law Anthony Mazzaro; and her grandchildren Tyler and Natalie.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 E. Main Street, Freehold, on Saturday, September 14th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
