Irene,
You may not remember me but I remember the lovely women that I have had the pleasure and fortune to have met. Both you and your mother qualify in that regard. While i had only the opportunity on a few occasions to meet her, I was amazed. Your mother was charming and understanding in a way that I don't think I had ever encountered. I don"t recall if our parents had known each other, although I tend to recall some familiarity between them. I was the child of refugee survivors chicken farmers attending college. I think you mother was the first professional person who I had any real conversation with. Being Jewish and kosher was not something that was foreign or an oddity. In fact, she seemed to have welcomed that. As much as I liked seeing you, it was enhanced by the opportunity to speak briefly to your parents.
We haven't spoken in over 50 years but if you would like it might be fun. Regardless, I wish you and your family comfort and joy. Your mother was a wonderful person who left a fond memory in an 18 year old.
