Obviously I share Joe’s name. I didn’t really know him well but We met many many years ago, circa 1985, when he worked in real estate. We were able to trace our connections to his and mine grandparents, who were of course from Sicily. Anyway, very sorry to hear of his passing. God bless JBP and his family.

I have worked with Joe Princiotta for the entire 19 years of my career at Con Edison. Joe is a remarkable man who worked at the highest levels of integrity and honesty. He would often take me on adventures with him for Engineering support to help catch people tampering with our metering systems. He treated every situation involving theft of services as if it were his own business. His loyalty and dedication to Con Edison toward innovation, invention and creativity inspired me to think outside the box and develop methods to measure things that I would not normally be able to develop on my own. He literally opened my eyes to the possibilities that technology could be used to help in the detective work in tracking down lost revenue. We have shared a US Patent as well as many honors and awards for our efforts that he often initiated and encouraged. Every challenge that we faced, technical, administrative or political was overcome. We never lost a PSC case against anyone involved in theft of services. He always practiced the art of celebrating success by pushing me to write and submit narratives on our various successful endeavors. He recognized his fellow workers and went out of his way to praise their efforts. I will always appreciate his contributions to my career and the Company. He was a man of great honor, morality and faith!

My sincerest condolences to the Princiotta family. I affectionately referred to Joe as the "Prince". He is directly responsible for my current position in Con Edison and I'll forever remember him for that. He had a huge presence and will be greatly missed. Thank you Prince. RIP
