My fondest memories of my Uncle Chet are his love of pizza from Scorintino's going back to when it was in Perth Amboy. That pizza genuinely made him happy.Sometimes he would even treat us to pizza.
I remember how he would generously slip a $20 bill into the hands of my sister and I when we were heading out to the mall (a very generous amount in the mid-70's!).
He consistently sent birthday and Christmas cards throughout the years to myself and my son. And gave us really good chocolate. Life is in the details and the little things. It's these little things that Uncle Chet did so well.
My heartfelt condolences to all who are mourning the death of Mr. Zdunek. May God continue to sustain you and to help you (Psalm 34:18). May His promises give you hope and bring you comfort (Hosea 13:14; Psalm 37:11, 29, 39).
My dear Uncle Chet passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019. He was 89 years old. He was a retired U.S. postal worker and a Korean War veteran, 17th INF RCT, 2ND BN.
