Dear Laura,
Where do I begin I have so many fond memories of your dad, such a sweet and caring soul. The ones that have stuck with me through the years are from freshman year at Rowan when we decided to room with each other. I remember your dad coming to visit. You meant the world to him and he made sure you knew that with every visit checking up on you making sure you had everything you needed, especially your favorite snacks that you were always so kind to share with me. But most importantly he always took the time to chat with me and ask how I was doing, always so attentive and ready to give advice on life lessons. When he'd leave he would always say to stay safe and look out for one another. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten he will always remain in our hearts and our memories. I love you Laura and I'm always here looking out for you.

I’m truly sorry for your loss. Your father was a great man, he went above and beyond for those he loved. Not only was our grandparents great friends, but our parents grew up together. We shall keep the tradition going.
Some great things he did for me:
He helped me moved into my first year of college coming all the way from Jersey to Queens. Who else would do that?
He always took us out for dim sum and over order the food to ensure that we are full!!!
We will miss him, but he’s in a better place now to reunite with his family and my grandparents.

Laura,
There are not enough words to express how much saddness I have for the loss of your beloved father. Ever since I've known you, I've seen how much he cared about you, how gentle he was with you, and how much he loved you and your family. I'm so glad he walked you down the aisle and saw you grow into a strong, determined woman. Know that you did the best you could and always nurished him with your love and fulfilled every demand and need, from his exact favorite fruit and drink to advocating for his health. You are the best daughter to your father and he would be so proud. He will look after you, always.
Much love and my condolences to your entire family.

Dear Meemaw,
There are never enough words to express the pain and sorrow I share with you and your family. We’ve been best friends for over 20 years and I will be here to support, comfort, and love you now and forever. I’m here if you need anything.
Your father was an extremely hard working, caring, and kind man. I remember the first time I met him. He made me feel so welcome and comfortable right away. He treated me as if I were his own daughter. Whenever I would go to your house, he would always ask me if I had eaten yet. No matter my answer, he would always offer me food and ask that I stay for dinner.
As we grew up - graduated high school and college, started working full-time jobs - no matter how much time had passed, whenever I saw your father, he would smile and eagerly ask me how I was doing. How my parents and brother were. Even Charlie and all my other little pets. He would show genuine interest in hearing about the latest tricks I taught Charlie. And during every conversation, he would impart some kind of advice. A little bit of wisdom. Like where to get the sweetest fruits (and for the best prices too).
There will never be another man quite like him and his memory will live on forever. Your father has definitely made a lasting impression on me. I don't think I'll ever look at a llama or eat lobster and not think of him!
I like to believe that when we lose someone close to us, they still live through us and give us strength. The time we have spent with those we’ve lost makes them a part of us. I know that no matter where you are, he will always be watching over you.
Sending you lots of hugs and prayers,
Judy

Hi Laura,
I am very sorry for you and your family about the loss of your father. I never met your dad but I remember you speaking kindly of him and of his hardworking nature during our high school years.
I read through some of the text messages you exchanged with your dad, and it reminded me of the texts I frequently have with my own parents. I was moved by the love, unselfish care he has shown to you, your husband and the cats.
This is another reminder that our time with our parents is finite and we should do all we can to cherish the time spent together, appreciate the things they did and do for us, and live by the ideals they had worked so hard to instill.
While there is nothing that can fill for his absence in the lives of you and your family, I am sure his memories, his caring personality and the values he had lived by will continue to inspire all those that were close to him.
My thoughts are with you and your family.
Your friend,
Anil
