We just learned of Rod’s passing and wanted to send our deepest, heartfelt sympathy to Kathy and the family. We were lucky enough to know Rod and have him coach on of my sons. We have many wonderful memories and feel fortunate to count him not only as a coach but as a friend. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. We hope you are comforted by these memories.
With deepest sympathy,
Sandie and Randy Talbott

We knew Rod from Siena basketball. My parents were big supporters of the program. Living a mile from campus, players often visited and were frequent dinner guests. Rod was like an older brother to us. I’ll always remember his big smile. My Dad passed away in December and I like to think they are up in heaven talking Siena basketball and March madness.
With condolences,

Wow...my condolences to the family. Rod and I had some epic battles while at Siena. Our "Alpha" personalities never allowed us to really become friends, but, i am proud to say he knew I had his back and he had mines.
Although God makes no mistakes when he calls his Angels home, I only wish I had the opportunity to tell this gentlemen that I appreciated him for his blue collar work ethic and his infectious smile.

I want to send my prayers & sincere condolences to Rod's entire family. It has been a long time since we were at Siena, but I fondly remember seeing you many times in the dorm on 3N in Ryan Hall (I lived below on 2N), you always were down to earth & happy to talk about hoop or anything that involved a good laugh. Everlasting peace be with you!

OMG - I am so very sorry and heartbroken. Roddy was a great friend to me and my daughter during his years at Siena. Dania called him RaRa for some time before she could finally say Roddy. Kathleen, Gerard, Janine, Patrick and the entire Mullin family. my thoughts and prayers are with each of you. I first met Rod when I worked as Sports Information Director at Siena College. Through getting to know Roddy, I got to met his parents, brothers and sisters. What a tremendous family!! Rod was a friend, but also was a devoted husband and father. His smile would light up a room... and whenever he saw me, he'd refer to me as either "Paulie D" OR "SID". He'll be missed indeed, but his spirit will live within each of you as years pass. May God rest his soul.
