Obituary of William N. Grounds

William N Grounds, 85, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday February 19. He was a longtime resident of Jersey City, Brick and Freehold, New Jersey. He was survived by his beloved wife Frances, Children Robin Clem and Patti Martin, Grandchildren David, Rebecca, Joseph, Sarah, Jessica and Amanda, Zoey, Lily and Grace.

Born in Jersey City, he attended Dickinson High and Newark College of Engineering.

Bill worked for Princeton Insurance Company before retiring in 1996.

He was a proud Air Force Veteran, member of the American Legion and active member and CYO coach in St Anne’s J.C. for many years.

He will be most remembered as a devoted father, husband and grandfather. He enjoyed photography, painting, his garden and his traditional gingerbread house at Christmas brought joy for many years.
