Obituary of Lorraine Margolies

Lorraine Margolies, 88, of Manalapan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at home surrounded by loved ones.   Born in New York, New York, she had resided in Manalapan for 51 years.  Lorraine work in retail and was a shop steward, helping support workers’ rights for many years before retiring.  She enjoyed reading on her kindle, cooking and socializing with her close friends and vacationing with her husband and later with her sons. 

She is predeceased by her parents Sam and Yetta Bauer; husband Ralph; son Martin; sister Helen and brother Jerry.  Lorraine is survived son Jeff and his wife Ann; son Steven; son Neal and his wife Gae and son Richard; seven grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. 

Family and friends are invited to gather Tuesday December 11, 2018, at 11:00 am at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan.  A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm.  Interment will follow at Washington Cemetery, South Brunswick.  To leave a condolence or find directions, visit www.freemanfuneralhomes.com.
