Obituary of Irwin S. Altschiller

Irwin S. Altschiller, 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at CentraState Medical Center. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and a resident of Freehold, NJ for 46 years. 

Irwin followed in his father’s footsteps becoming an electrician in NYC.  Before retiring, he was a proud member of the Local 3 IBEW Union.  He remained an active member of the South Jersey Electric Club and a participant in “The Pulmonaires” at CentraState Hopsital.

Anyone who knew Irwin was aware of the love he had for his family along with his strong principles and beliefs along with always having a witty one-liner. He was an avid NY Giants, NY Mets and NJ Devils fan.  He valued his strong friendships which were with him every step of the way.

He is predeceased by his parents Harry and Lillilan and survived by his wife

Madelyn and their two children, Jason (Rockville, MD) and Debra (Toms Rivers, NJ) and a sister.
