Obituary of Genevieve Presby

Genevieve "Jean" Presby, 82, of Brick, passed away on July 21, 2014, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Clifton before moving to Brick 18 years ago. Jean was a secretary for the Passaic County Court for many years before retiring. She was also a Lionette in the Lions Head South community. Jean was an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She also enjoyed vacationing at the Jersey Shore and loved the beach. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and friends. She was extremely proud of her Italian heritage. She was predeceased by her husband, Mortimer Morty in 2011, her son-in-law, John Walsh; and niece, Barbara Jean Golaszewski. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Lorrie Presby; her daughter, Gina Walsh; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and James Golaszewski; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Rose Kemmit; seven cherished grandchildren who affectionately called her "Ma", Matthew, Christopher, David, Erik, Marisa, Lauren and Alanna; and nephew, Steven Golaszewski and niece, Karen Douma.. Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, July 29, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, with a funeral service at 8:30 PM, at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan.
