Arathi, Rajat and the Sinha Family: First let me extend my deepest sympathies to you and your family on the incomprehensible loss that you are facing. I first met Rajeev in the early days of Bellcore when he was working on somethign called BISDN standards. I was immediately struck by his professionalism, dedication, modesyt and knowledge. Over the next 10 or so years I had the good fortune to be a colleague of his working with him on various projects. He was always kind, warm hearted and willing to go out of his way to share his knowledge or help a colleague. We briefly parted ways when he took another job at Bellcore but about ten years ago we both ended up in the same organization again. I remember many times that we would talk about the paths our careers had taken through different owners and organizations. He always had special insights and good memories of how our careers had progressed through the years and was philosophical about these changes. Most recently I did not see Rajeev that much as he spent most of his time at a customer site in Mississippi but when he was in NJ or over the phone we would talk. He was fiercely devoted to our customer in Mississippi and as you probably know their respect, admiration and love for Rajeev was something that I have never seen elsewhere in my career. I will certainly miss Rajeev and the shock of his passing is still difficult to comprehend. I can only hope that at some point in the future when the pain may have subsided a bit you will find your heart filled with the light of memories of your time with him and the love that I know he felt for you. With deepest condolences I extend my sympathy to you and your entire family on the terrible loss of Rajeev at far too young an age. Bill Rubin
