Obituary of Frank Torre

Frank Torre, 68, of Jackson Township, died on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at home with his loving family. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York he lived in Manalapan for 20 years before moving to Jackson Township 10 years ago. Prior to his retirement he was a professor and dean of students for the College of Staten Island. During Frank's retirement he shared and instilled his life-long love of music in many others through his own small DJ, Karaoke and live vocals business called DoEnjoy. Frank is survived by his wife of 32 years, Maryann; his two sons and daughters-in-law, Greg Schumann and Lynn DeRocco of Manalapan and Michael Schumann and Stephanie Hansen of Portland, OR; daughter and son-in-law, Caroline and Dave Milani of Jackson; four siblings and their spouses, Fran and Anthony Torone, Mary Jane and Arthur Catalanotti, Charles and Michelle Torre and Dennis Torre; and 9 grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, May 20th, from 4 to 8 PM, at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 10 AM, at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
