Obituary of Ida Maria Avitto

Ida Avitto, 88, of Freehold Township, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born in Brooklyn, she lived there until moving to East Brunswick where she resided for eight years then living in Freehold for the past 20 years. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Freehold. Ida was a legal secretary for Irving Trust Bank in Manhattan for many years before retiring. She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas in 1988; her daughter, Melody Ann in 2010; and her four brothers, Joe, Anthony, Louis and Sammy Scotti. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Colette and Tom Beck of Staten Island; son-in-law, Bart Fabian of Freehold; four grandchildren, Nicole and her husband, Jeff, Jaclyn, Krystin and Michael; and great granddaughter, Plum Melody. Family and friends are invited to visit today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday at 11:30 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island.
