Obituary of Marion Steiner

Marion Steiner, 78, of Manalapan, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at home with her family. Born on Staten Island, NY, she resided and raised her family on Staten Island until moving to Manalapan about 10 years ago. She worked for Irving Trust Bank in Manhattan for many years and then at St. Roch Catholic Church before joining Foster Care of New York where she worked for over 10 years before retiring to NJ. Marion loved her family and enjoyed cooking for her husband and children. Soap operas were also a favorite pastime. She was predeceased by her husband, Martin, in 1992, and her sister, Carole Straub earlier this year. She is survived by her three children, Martin and Karen Steiner, both of Manalapan, NJ, and Susan Steiner of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Amanda and John Steiner; great granddaughter, Sophia; and sister, Barbara Flanagan Rainaud of Middletown, NJ. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated today at 10 AM at St. Roch Catholic Church, Staten Island, NY. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. Arrangements are under the direction of the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan.
