Obituary of Daniel Michael Zuchelli sr

Daniel M. Zuchelli, Sr., 91, of Manalapan, passed away on November 13, 2013, at home. Born in Brooklyn, he has resided in Manalapan for the past 22 years. He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran who served in the South Pacific in the Second Marine Division, D-2-18. Dan was a self-employed NYC cab driver before retiring. Dan was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was proud to have served his country during WWII, and was an avid fisherman and artist. He was predeceased by his wife, Carmela in 2012. He is survived by two children, daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Dave Parkin of Matawan and Daniel Jr. and Joyce Zuchelli of Stamford, CT; and five grandchildren, Lindsay and her husband Adam Brown, Jack Parkin, and Daniel III, Joseph and Stephen Zuchelli. Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, Nov. 15th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
