Obituary of Bruce Johnes Woolford

Bruce J. Woolford, 80, of Freehold Borough, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2013, at home. Born in Keyport, he has resided in Freehold Borough for his entire life. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Army. Bruce owned and operated Woolford Antiques in Freehold for 52 years before retiring. He was a 50-year member and former captain of the Richardson Engine Co. #2 of Freehold Fire Department. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Daffie; his two children and their spouses, Forrest and Cynthia of Freehold and Betsy and Michael Lachowsky of Ingleside, TX; three grandchildren, Kristen and Heather Woolford and larissa Lachowsky; and a great granddaughter, Ann Marie Richmond. Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, October 9th, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, with a Fire Department service at 7:15 PM, at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 10th, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the B/G Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
