Peter Suarez 2/17/1953-8/25/2013: I became aware of Peter Suarez's work back in the late 1980's through a mutual associate, though indi-rectly. Right from the start, it was clear to me that I was speaking to someone of unusual experience and as much dedication. This resonated with me, of course. It is not something that is common in life to meet people of like mind and more so when their inevitable skew of what was/is common continues to interest you. Like many of our closest relationships: we were different and we were the same. Well, as life goes, the marks that make us signature are usually those that were derived from the harder experiences and Peter had his share like most of us but it was also these that reflected the indelible light that was Peter, to me. He was a constant reminder that THE ONLY WAY OUT WAS THE WAY THROUGH. There was NO AROUND. This made him incredibly determined and while quite stubborn, faced with the fact that there was a better way always seemed to become a part of his approach. Slow and steady, he marched on and really, that was how our relationship proceeded and to such deepness that I think we both regarded each other as closest friends. I will always remember his persistence and devotion. I miss you, Peter.
