Obituary of Merline Agatha Douglas

Merline A. Douglas, 83, of Manalapan, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at The Manor in Freehold. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, she lived in New York City before moving to the Covered Bridge section of Manalapan in 1981. Merline worked as a claims examiner for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. for many years before retiring. She was predeceased her husband, Sydney Percival. She is survived by her son, Kevin, formerly of Lake George, NY; her daughter, Suzanne of Manalapan; and siblings, Enola, Bernham and Lloyd Simms. A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 2nd, at 9:30 AM, at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
