1-11-14 Happy First Mother's Day to my Mama Mary who is spending it today with Jesus' Mama Mary!!!
Mama, it is supposed to be a joyous celebration of Mother's Day today yet I have been crying so much since Papa's first birthday in heaven on Friday, 5-2-14. The only memory that sustains me today and helps ease my heartbreak is the picture of you and Papa holding hands and kissing each other since I have been looking at a lot of pictures of you both doing the same thing. Jesus said anything asked in His Mother's name will be granted because she obeyed God's will in every way and she is looked in such favor in Heaven that she sits on Your right hand side on Your Heavenly Thrones. I pray Mama Mary that you will keep my Mama Mary and my Papa holding hands forever and kissing each other and happy together in heaven. I pray for you to intercede to Jesus on my behalf to ease my all pain, to have lasting joy on earth happy in thought of the picture of both of my parents happy as well healthy at last so I should also be happy. I pray for help, strength and resolve in all my earthly problems. I pray for good health for myself, all my friends and family. I pray for every Mother's wish to be granted today especially those in severe anguish like I am currently feeling. I pray for all the motherless children and all mothers who have lost a child. I pray all this in the name of the Lord not my wish but Thine be done.
Mama Mary and my Mama Mary a happy mother's day!!! I love you so much and I miss you so much.

Papa passed (1-21-14) or 2 days before your civil wedding anniversay (1-23-14). He wanted for both of you to be together on this memorable day and will not even wait for 3-29-14 for your church wedding anniversary. I revived Papa on 1-20-14 at home before 1 PM when he had a cardiac arrest and his blood pressure dropped to 0 while his heart rate was shooting up to 180. Almost all your children except Andy and Nick were able to say goodbye when Papa was alive at the ER. He was at prace and appeared to smile while his eyeballs were constantly moving left to right as if aware of who's in the ER romm. They were going to remove all IV fluids in the ER and Ollie finally convinced the hospital to send Papa to ICU. All
his organs failed (kidney, liver and heart). He wasextremely brave and superstrong like superman that although he was
dead from neck down, he was alive from neck up. When the nurse tried to clean his mouth, Papa tried to close his mouth
shut and his lips shut. He had gag reflex still. Both his feet lost deep relflexes which is probably why the hospital had
madethe decision they made. I felt thay shortened Papa's life due to contingency, economic reasons, Obamacare and
before the next nurses' shift in the ICU. I am glad I am not a hospitalist. The whole night I kept awake reading Papa the Book of Psalms by King David. I started with Psalms 119 to the end of the Book of Psalms
then I started the beginning of Psalms and reached psalms 90 or so only before exhaustion took over and even with several
cups of coffee I cannot stay awake. I was only short of 30 Books of Psalms. At 5 AM, I could not open my eyes from
tiredness so I woke Ruby up and in less one hour, Ruby woke me up, to say we are being asked to leave ICU Room because several staff were there for CPR. I did not hear an overhead announcement that there was a code blue. All staff present were women and most likely nurses. I glanced at the monitor and it read 80 or 90/13 same as his room in ICU was number 13 also which I know has no signiicance pr correlation to each other. I revived Papa at 0 blood pressure so that Dr.
Shah said he already died then and pumping his chest was useless. The doctors refused to do anything more because he had multi-organ failure and doctors feel it is useless and hopeless. This doctors maybe book smart but the lack the wisdom
you and Papa had. Because I revived Papa, almost all your offsprings were able to say goodbye and not be as traumatized as by your death. Even Susan said that was my contribution. I still asked Papa forgiveness in the ICU because I fell I should have done more or maybe have called 911 and insisted that Papa be hospitalized 3-4 weeks ago even though at
this point Centra State was already making us feel unwelcome. I did not like Centra Hospital after the doctor punctured his
lung after pleural or thoracocentesis. I tried my best Mama as you would have wanted me to but my best was not good
enough and I ask forgiveness from you both for any shortcomings or deficiencies I may have had in giving all of myself
because I know you both gave the very best of yourselves to all of us. I cannot make Papa to stay longer Mama because
all he wants is to be with you. In the end all 60 offsprings do not compare to you. You are very lucky to have Papa as your life's beloved and even each other's beloved in afterlife. You are both so lucky to have found each other and have the kind of love that lasts for eternity. I love you both so very much it hurts. I miss you both so very much also and the pain is
unbearable pain. I offered Sephardic/ Gregorian masses for Papa. It is a series of 10 masses here in America then the
request is sent to Rome who will then find a Capuchin or Franciscan monk all over the world who is willing to dedicate 30
days consecutive Latin masses without a break for the release of either Papa's soul or yours so you can both enjoy eternity
forever. These series of 40 masses will end on Ash Wednesday. Mama, the wooden colorful bracelet rosary you wore when you died even has your blood in it that Ollie did not wipe clean, Papa probably knew this by instinct and transferred this bracelet from Ollie's wrist to his wrist. It is a Jewish belief that our soul is in the blood. Remember how in the movieThe Passion of Christ His mother, Mary Magdalene and other women sponged clean Jesus Precious blood from the
pavement. I am absolutely certain that by Good Friday, Easter Sunday of even before as in Ash Wednesday you will both
be together internal bliss with your firstborn, Joseph. We all love and miss you both!!! Papa instinctively was attracted to this rosary bracelet even Ollie was surprised. You will really find each other now because Papa is wearing this bracelet. I fact, sometimes when I observe Papa I see you in him. You are really soul mates and made one by The Lord when He married you. I am happy you are together yet extremely saddened that both of you are no longer with us to enjoy birthdays and holidays. Please pray for all your 60 or more offsprings left here on earth. Hug and kiss each other from all of us. We all love you both eternally as well.

Mother's Day this year was the most important and memorable Mother's Day because it was Mama's last Mother's Day on earth. I remember celebrating Mother's Day with Mama at the hospital this May, 2013. Her room was full of flowers and balloons. Some hospital staff said it was like bringing the garden outside inside the hospital. I saw most of my sibling, nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews come all throughout the day. Mama was happy and wanted the flowers in front of her vision at all times. Papa was able to FaceTime with Mama on numerous occasions. Mama reasured Papa "I am coming home very soon". My hair stood on end as if a premonition came to me that she may mean she is going HOME to HEAVEN. It was amazing to see the happiness and love on their faces when they see each other. They appear to be both so peaceful as if they did not have any worries in the world because they have each other. In fact, I heard Mama say I don't worry about my illnesses. They are both so lucky they have found each other. I dread Father's Day this year because I cannot bear to think this may also be Papa's last but I know all of us are hoping the Lord will allow him to be with us as long as possible although I know Mama must be missing him as much as Papa misses Mama. Papa had an inkling Mama may not be coming back home anymore because he only asked about her from Ruby once the night before she died after Ruby stayed with Mama on 5-27-13 to 5-28-13. Papa asked how Mama was. After that night it seems as if Papa knew because he started saying "I will find her, we have each other. I love her. Her name Mary becomes her (after Jesus' Mama Mary). Mama was born September 12th which is a Catholic religious holiday celebrating The holy name of Mary. Mama was baptized Maria Juana but her name was shortened to Mary as Papa always called her. I know Mama wanted to go home and see Papa again and vice versa. I am so lucky and grateful to witness true love between my parents who have been married 73 years. Mama you can rest assured, all your offsprings will take care of Papa for you. My life has been so full of love and meaning because the Almighty Lord has given me the best parents in the world!

Mama's bountiful love for all her 12 children, including our oldest brother Joseph who died from a high forceps delivery, knows no limits. Mama grew up as a pampered youngest daughter of a lawyer who graduated from Columbia University who later became a judge, a legislator and head of the new Philippine Republic National Development Corporation (NDC). She was destined by fate to fall in love at first sight with my Papa. She became Miss Far Eastern University (where she graduated in BS Home Economics) for the chance of meeting the nephew of the owner of that University who has a playboy reputation of having girlfriends who are Miss FEU. Papa also fell in love with Mama and proposed to her in his Mother's gravesite asking her for 12 children and Mama agreed thinking it was a joke. Today they have 11 children alive, 30 grandchildren and 22 increasing yearly great grandchildren. I remember Mama helping me with my book reports. She was a voracious reader like me. Although she was a full time home maker I am sure she could have been anything she wanted to be like her accomplished father. Lolo died young from a heart attack bu Mama lived to be 94 1/2 years old and Papa is 100 years old now and alive even if he is broken hearted by Mama's death. They have been blessed with more than 60 offsprings to date. All her 11 children have graduated from college. They are indeed extremely blessed in the eyes of the Lord! I remember Mama throughout grade school and high school bringing 6 of her children hot lunch to school daily. I don't cook. My sisters are indeed lucky to be good cooks having inherited my Mama's recipes. I am also lucky to have cooked with Mama my favorite Filipino dish, pancit. I will always remember my very loving, kind, generous, gentle and selfless Mom with her sweet smile (corner of her mouth go up when she is really happy. She will forever be in my heart. Jesus please give my Mom a hug for me.

I remember my lola helping to prepare food the last time I visited New Jersey. She was always so giving and put others before herself. I remember her energetic and loving, cutting vegetables and going through the kitchen so quickly! I also remember her warm, loving hugs. I will miss her so much. Thank you grandma for taking care of me no matter what age I showed up to the house. I will love you always!

Dearest Mama,
With God always by our side, you gave me your quiet and gentle guidance. So many countless times, I have questioned God why all the pain but now I know that He has plans for me after your prayers were heard to spare my life from 911. I am very blessed to have served you specially the last few months of your life on earth. I will miss bringing you to your doctors" appointments and asking me to stop by a place to get you a treat. How I wish I let you have all the treats you wanted. I will forever be grateful and cherish the love, caring, support and guidance you gave Claro, Christina, Clarissa, Carla and me. I know that you will continue to pray for us from Heaven. I would never have told you to let go while you were still with us but now, I bid you farewell to your next life full of joy and peace with God Almighty. You were a good and faithful servant. Your faithfulness in serving Him with your selfless love by dedicating a life of service to your family and everyone you knew surely are pleasing to Him. You truly were a perfect gift from God. Thank you for everything. I will miss and love you forever in my heart. I hope to live a faithful life like yours and be able to see you in heaven when my time comes. For now I am sure that you are enjoying playing with Carlo Angelo and all our unborn angels in heaven I will alway pray for your soul to rest in peace. I love you, Mama.

Although I don't see Lola as much since I lived in VA, I remember when I was a kid. Every time we go to the states on vacation for summer, I gained so much weight because of Lola's cooking. The last 3 weeks that she was in the hospital, I make sure I call her as much. About a week ago, it was my first time to say "I love you" to her and she responded, I love you too 1ball. I am very glad that I was able to tell her that before she passes. She dedicated all her life for her family especially for Lolo. I will miss her so much but I know I have an angel now watching over me, Migo and Sabrina.

I will be forever grateful for you helping to raise me into the person I am today. I miss the days I used to come home from school to you and all the summer's you took care of Clarissa, Carla, and me where we'd sit and watch all your soap operas together everyday. I wish life and school didn't get in the way of me spending more time with you when I got older. I'll always be praying for you; I think all your prayers are the reason why I still have my mom with me today. I will never forget the promise that you made to the saints on 9/11 to have my mom rescued and come home. You had the heart of gold and will be greatly missed. It'll never be the same without you, but I take comfort in knowing we have another angel in heaven watching over us and that we will be reunited one day. I love you always and forever, Lola.

ever since I can remember, Mama, Papa, Susan, and I will sit down together for dinner every night whenever all of us are home. This changed when Papa became too sick to sit on his wheelchair to have dinner with us. For some time, the three us will have dinner together. However, when Susan retired, she started having dinner earlier. I asked Mom if she prefers to eat with Susan and not wait for me. I can eat alone whenever I'm home from work.....which is around 8:00PM. She said that she prefers to wait for me so that I will have someone to eat with. Everyday, I would hurry home so that Mama can eat and not get hungry. Whenever I'm late due to weather and traffic, I would call her and tell her to eat ahead and not wait, but she will still wait until I'm home to have dinner with me. Dinnertime with Mama is our bonding time, time to talk over anything, from food, family, tv shows, events, etc. Most nights, after dinner, she will insist to take care of washing the dishes we used so that I can start preparing and give Papa's medications, change his feeding tube bag and fill it with his food for the night, change his clothes and prepare him for the night. Then the three of us, Papa, Mama and I, will watch TV until Mama is ready to be helped change her clothes for the night and to be tucked into bed. We will continue to watch TV until both of them fall asleep. Then, it's time for my shower and bed.
This nightly routine with Mama I will missed a lot, especially sitting down together for dinner. I am grateful to Our Lord that We have Papa.
I love you very much, Mom, and will miss you
