Obituary of Margaret M. Clayton

Margaret M. Clayton, 77, of Freehold Township, died Thursday at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. She was born in the township and resided there as a live-long resident. Margaret was the manager at Hoffman Koos in Freehold Township for 22 years. She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Freehold. She was a past member of the Freehold's Women's Club. Her favorite activities included family time, tiem at the Jersey shore, traveling and gardening. She is predeceased by her parents Stanley and Marion McIlvaine; two sisters Francis McIlaine and Bernice Parker. Surviving Margaret are her loving husband of 60 years Walter A Clayton of Freehold; two daughters and sons-in-law Donna and Paul Gaj of Howell and Doreen and Frank Peras of Naples FL; two sons and daughter-in-law Dale and Karen Clayton of Freehold and Don also of Freehold. She also leaves seven loving grandchildren: Jason, Jackie, Janelle Gaj, Joey and Kristen Peras, Kelsey and Cody Clayton and four great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to a visitation of Sunday April 14 from 2 - 6 pm at the Freeman Funeral Home 47 East Main Street Freehold. A funeral Service will be held Monday April 15 at 10:30am in the funeral. Burial will follow at the Mapelwood Cemetery in Freehold.
