Obituary of Florence P Clayton

Florence P. Clayton, 105, of Freehold Township, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Applewood Estates, Freehold. Born in Hightstown, she was a graduate of Hightstown High School and attended Rider College inTrenton before working at the Hightstown Trust Company for four years. Florence married her husband, William, in 1930 and has resided in Freehold for the past 82 years. She was a member of the Reformed Church of Freehold and past member of Freehold's Cecelian Club, Women's Club, Historical Society, and the Monmouth Grange No. 92. She was predeceased by her husband, William in 1997. She is survived by her two daughters, Audrey C. Statesir of Freehold and Point Pleasant Beach and Janet C. Dixon of Myrtle Beach, SC; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to visit on Friday, Dec. 21st, from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM at the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Reformed Church of Freehold, 67 West Main Street, Freehold.
