I am sorry that it had been so long since I had last seen Aunt Fran. Your family was a big part of my childhood, and I have many fond memories. My mother always loved her oldest sister and they talked every week. They had a very strong bond between them. I always loved to hear her laugh. My condolences to Uncle Joe and cousins Madeleine, Joseph, Laura and Thomas. I wish that I could be there to show my respects.

Grandma, Even though I imagined this day in my head, I can't express how nothing can prepare you for it. You were sick, unable to walk and do the things you love. Your body was getting tired.. but you still fought hard until your last day. Your strength is your greatest legacy, something I will always admire you for. You told me stories about your childhood, marriage and raising your children. I always enjoyed every story you told me because it helped me understand the person you were. You have always been one of the most important people in my life. You were there for me at hard times in my life when no one else was. I am not sure where I would be without you...I will have so many memories of you, with your blonde bun, coming over after work with bags from Macy's. You would have a new outfit for me everyday. Or when we both got a little older and I had my children. I would come over almost every day. When you would get home from the mall we would cook dinner or get take out. The kids would start acting up and you would tell me it's time to go home now but I wouldn't listen. You were always so generous to us. Life will go on but it won't be the same without you, grandma. We love you very much. You will hold a special piece of my heart until we meet again. This is hard but I will make you proud. I love you Grandma!
