Mary Jo Scala passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 11, 2018. Mary Jo was the beloved wife of Fred Scala. She was the loving mother of JoAnna and Rose Mary. Mary Jo was the dear sister of Anthony Brogna. Mary Jo was loved by her two cats Bella and Boo. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary Jo's honor to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The visitation for Mary Jo will be held on Sunday May 13, 2018 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM and again on Monday May 14, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM & 6:00 - 9:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church at 10:00 AM on Tuesday May 15, 2018 - the family will meet at the funeral home by 8:30 AM. The Committal Service will be immediately following the Funeral Mass at Green-Wood Cemetery, in Brooklyn New York.
