Margaret E. Feit, 78, of Freehold Township, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2012. Born in Atlantic Highlands, she grew up in Red Bank and graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School before attending Red Bank Business Institute and Monmouth College. She lived in Matawan for 34 years before moving to Applewood Estates five years ago. She was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold. She was employed by Starr Smith Biggs and Company of Newark before retiring. Margaret loved to be home with her family, especially her dear granddaughters. She also enjoyed gardening, and going to the beach and Atlantic City. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. in 1991, and brothers, Edward and George Coughlin. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Alice and Michael Burns of Staten Island and Carleen and Robert Porreca of Hillsborough; siblings, Jack Coughlin and Joan Kernan; and granddaughters, Jessica and Caroline. Family and friends may visit Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Freehold. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Visiting Nurse Association.
