Obituary of Daniel F. Richardson

Daniel Fitz Richardson was born on December 2, 1920 in Kingston, Jamaica. He was born to Harold and Kethurah Richardson. His siblings included Sydney and George, he also has step sister: Joyce, Enid, Luna, Myrtle, Bobsie and a step brother Harold, Jr. He attended Jones Primary School in Kingston, Jamaica and then a Trade School in Allman Town, Kingston, Jamaica. His father and uncles were carpenters and he learned the trade from his dad and then worked at Camp Murphy in Lionel Town to build houses for Monymusk Company. After Monymusk Company he worked at Powell's Bakery were he learned how to make those wonderful Easter Buns and Christmas Fruit Cake. Then he met Rose Alvira Cole and they married. After some time he joined his wife who had migrated to Panama City Panama and he worked on the Canal Zone in the construction field. Daniel and Rose have 5 children: Marie, Joan, Chela Junior and Kenneth and 5 grandchildren: Michael, Jan-O'neil, Chris, Kenneth and Shari and 5 great grandchildren: Nichole, Ken Jr., Jaydakiss Crystal and Jayce. Fitzy as he was lovingly called - worked on the Panama Canal Zone for many years and then migrated to the United States and lived in Brooklyn, NY. He worked in Brooklyn and Manhattan as a carpenter, cabinet maker and house designer. He then retired and moved to Fayetteville, NC and lived there for 17 years and then moved to Poinciana, FL. After 5 years he moved to Manalapan, NJ and lived there for almost 6 years. He leaves to mourn and cherish in his memory: His wife, children, and grandchildren, Son in laws: Linton, Derek and Kenneth, Nephews, Nieces, and friends. Also his niece Beverly and her husband Hayden Hester who were like a daughter and son to him. We already miss him very much. The void in our lives will never be filled.
