Jean Ledwith Palisay 94, a native Staten Islander born in her family home on Manor Road in 1922. The last surviving of the 9 Ledwith children. Resident of Great Kills for the past 52 years. Beloved mother of Jean Scarfia, Linda M. LaRocca and Cecilia O'Brien. Cherished grand mother of Elizabeth Colaiocco, Michael Scarfia (deceased), Keri O'Brien, Melissa Azzalina, Amy LaRocca an Frank LaRocca Jr.. Loving great grandmother of Michael, Vincent & Louis Colaiocco, Amanda May Azzalina, Valentina, Michela & Frankie LaRocca. Graduated New Dorp HS, Worked at Bethlehem Steel and was a Production Dept. manager at Socony Mobil Oil Co., in NYC. In her young days Jean was an avid ice skater and roller skater. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, dogs and spending time with her grandchildren.
