Obituary of Rita Lillian Altman

Rita Lillian Altman was 97 years old and died on December 7th, 2016. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She was predeceased by her husband of 21 years, Irving Altman; son Mark Altman and daughter Janice Hoffman. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rosanne and Stan Chorney of Manalapan; daughter in law Janice Altman of Livingston; grandchildren Ian Levine, Jodi Creghg, Tara Speigel, Jason Altman, Cari Orlovsky, Alaina Roy, Andrew Chorney and their spouse. Rita is also survived by 11 great grandchildren. Rita was a secretary for a mortgage firm in New York, before moving to Florida in 1973. She was a secretary to a Rabbi at Temple Beth Torah, North Miami Beach for 20 years before she retired. She returned to New Jersey in 1973 to be near her family. She was a loving mother and wonderful grandmother.
