Obituary of John Joseph McKenna

John J. McKenna, 91, of Manalapan, passed away on November 30, 2016 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Sayreville and Jamesburg before settling in Manalapan three years ago. John proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. and was a World War II veteran. Before retiring in 1985, he was a General Foreman for Colgate-Palmolive in Jersey City. John is predeceased by his wife Margaret and two brothers James and Edward. He is survived by his son Kevin and daughter in law Lee; son John and daughter in law Ann; and grandchildren Jake, Starr, Jeffrey and Jessica. Visitation will be Friday, December 2nd, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home Saturday, December 3rd at 10:00 am. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park in East Brunswick.
