Obituary of Edward Donovan

Edward J. Donovan passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, October 22, 2016 surrounded by his wife and children. Born and raised in Jersey City, he resided in Manalapan for the past 47 years. Ed coached Cross Country, softball and Little League. He enjoyed golf, running and following his NY Yankees. Ed was a graduate of Xavier High School, St. Peter’s University and Seton Hall University. Ed is survived by his wife Elaine; four children, Joseph of Manalapan, Thomas and Judith of North Carolina, James and Erin of Virginia and Lois and Ryan Torvik of Florida; and grandchildren Quinn, Keely, Cassidy, Aedan, Adelia, Cecilia, Michael, Kaitlyn, David and Alex. Visitation is Tuesday, October 25th, from 10:30 to 11:30 am at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. The funeral mass will follow at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Englishtown at 12:00 pm. Entombment will take place at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Marlboro.
