Karen- I still remember -very well- first meeting you...we both were interviewing at SSYC and we both had just met with Mrs. Jones....shortly after---we were escorted out to that big playground....with all of those teachers staring at us!!!! We were so new---scared---excited---giddy----curious---but never the less- happy!!! We had a great new school to start teaching at AND we had each other....two 'newbies' to rely on and support as we started on this new adventure together!!! I loved meeting you....sitting through countless hours of orientation with....teaching with.....venting with....supporting each other...hanging out with...complaining about boys with.....dancing with....flying to Cancun with...(and other things down in Mexico;) )....para-sailing with.....but most of all BONDING with! You mean so much to me and I will cherish our friendship and bond forever. I know you are at peace now and you are watching down on all of us. I love you Karen and always will hold our BOND close to my heart. My thoughts- prayers and hugs to you--- Sarah

SAFELY HOME is the message we hope the Bologna family can embrace to quell their grief over the loss of their beloved Karen, daughter, sister, aunt: I am home in Heaven dear ones, Oh so happy and so bright, In this everlasting light. Any pain and grief is over, Every resltess tossing passed, I am now at peace forever, Safely home in Heaven at last. You must not grieve so sorely, For I love you dearly still, Try to look beyond earth's shadows, Pray to trust our Father's will. Safely home in Heaven.

I was so blessed to know such a nice, beautiful, funny woman like Karen Marie Bologna. Karen was also known to many of us as aunt kaka. She always brightened my day whenever i would visit the Baldasare house. She will be missed by so many who knew her.

Karen Marie Bologna (1977-2012) Our hearts fill with sadness, this bright sunny day But the family around us, do nothing but pray. They pray for a reason, and nothing is clear But Karen’s not with us – she is not here. We don’t know why, prayers don’t seem enough We think of life’s sorrows – it doesn’t help much. I really believe that God’s gift right now, Is faith, that His words will help us - somehow To understand why – this short life did end And help us go on. - - - This family must mend. We all can recount the struggles of life But often can’t fathom what causes the strife. Our God is supposed to guide us through all And help us again each time we fall. I strongly believe that God has helped Karen He saw that she was quite ready – Today and forever to be with Him – Surely she’s with Him – already. RJ Dolan, May 24, 2012
