Obituary of William Leo Bresnahan

William Leo Bresnahan, 83, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away on April 17, 2016 with family by his side. He was born in Asbury Park on December 23, 1932 and raised in Freehold. Bill attended Freehold High School where he met the love of his life, Elizabeth (Betty) Hemphill. He was the owner of Freehold Dairy Inc., World Class Transportation and was a managing partner & breeder of Fair Acres Farm. He resided in Freehold and Manasquan before retiring to Florida. Bill's favorite pastimes were harness racing, playing tennis, coaching baseball & basketball and being on the sidelines cheering on his grandchildren at sporting events. He loved to travel & visited every state in the USA. He was a devout Catholic, member of the Knights of Columbus, President of the Isle of Tuscany in the Kings Isle Retirement Community & an officer of the Funseekers club.
Bill was predeceased by his mother and father, Hannah and William, son Brady Paul, granddaughter Shyanne and sister Audrey Fitch. He is survived by wife Betty, 6 sons, William, Robert and wife Doreen, Brian and wife Lynette, Barry and wife Trisha, Bruce, Barney and wife Michelle & 3 daughters Barbara Delucia and husband Mike, Liz Lubin and husband Jerry, Brenda Oakes and partner Joe Andolpho, sister Dorothy Petta, 22 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Sun., April 24th, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. A memorial mass will be held at St. Rose of Lima on Monday at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
