Obituary of Alice L Decker

Alice Layton Decker, 86, of Brick, NJ, passed away peacefully after a long illness on April 14, 2016, surrounded by her beloved family at her daughter's home. Alice was the daughter of Norman and Laura Layton. She was an active member of St. Paul's Methodist Church in Brick, NJ. Alice was born in Adelphia, NJ on May 28, 1929 and was a graduate of Freehold High School. Alice was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Robert C. Decker, in 1999. They were owners of Hill Motors in Manasquan, NJ. Upon retirement they enjoyed spending time with family and friends in their residences in NJ and New Smyrna Beach, FL. Throughout her life Alice was an active volunteer with various organizations. Alice is survived by her two daughters and their spouses: Lark and Peter LaPlaca of Wall, NJ, Amy and David Pease of Templeton, MA. Also, six grandchildren and their spouses: Peter LaPlaca Jr., Daphne and Joseph Bryceland, Greg and Denise LaPlaca, Ali Deacon, Jennifer LaPlaca and Robert and Emily LaPlaca. Alice was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Alexis, Lauren, Joseph, Aiden, Mia and Riley. In keeping with Alice's wishes, a private family funeral service was held at the Holmdel Cemetery & Mausoleum, in Holmdel NJ, on April 18, 2016. The family of Alice L.
