Obituary of Stanley Walfish

Stanley Walfish, 75, passed away on April 2nd, 2016. Stanley was born in the Bronx, NY on December 16, 1940. Stanley was a dedicated teacher in NY and went on to be the principal at the Deal Yeshiva. He was particularly proud of his contributions to the show DeGrassi Junior High. He served as an educational consultant on the show and even had a character named after him. Stanley enjoyed swimming, reading the NY Times, and the history club in his community. Stanley was predeceased by his father, Jacob Walfish; his mother, Molly Walfish; and his wife of nearly 50 years, Sara Walfish. Stanley is lovingly remembered by his sister, Iris Jennings of Warwick NY; his daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Carmen D'Ambrosio of Lumberton NJ; his son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Joann Walfish of Apopka FL; and his grandchildren, Ayla D'Ambrosio, Luke D'Ambrosio, Lily Walfish and Jacob Walfish. Funeral Services are under the direction of the Freeman Funeral Home. A service of remembrance will be held at Beth Israel Cemetery Mausoleum, Woodbridge, on April 7th at 11:30 AM.
